Major change made to SmackDown during season premiere
Tonight is the season premiere of SmackDown. A major change was made to the show tonight.
SmackDown first launched in 1999 and has been a mainstay on WWE television for the past 25 years. During this time, the blue brand has undergone its fair share of changes, including the days the show aired.
Despite this, the blue brand has been the home of some of the most important moments in WWE history, creating some incredible moments while being telecast on the Fox Network. However, the company's deal with Fox ended last week, and the show was ready to move onto the USA Network this week.
Tonight marked the season premiere of the blue brand on the new network. Given the importance of tonight's show, Triple H and the creative team have planned an exciting night of action, which will kick off with the Undisputed WWE Championship steel cage match between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa. However, the start of the show saw one significant change.
SmackDown now has a new promotional video that will be used to kick off the show. The clip is well put together and includes some of the blue brand's top stars. Check out the video here:
This wasn't the only change; the blue brand also got a new logo tonight, which best symbolized this new era.
