Major hint dropped ahead of WWE Draft; popular names switching brands
The WWE Universe is buzzing with excitement ahead of the 2024 Draft, which kicks off this coming Friday on SmackDown. The company has just fueled speculation on two big names switching brands in the Draft.
Drew McIntyre and Gunther have been removed from the official RAW brand banner on the company website, fueling WWE Draft rumors about the Imperium leader and The Scottish Warrior moving to SmackDown.
The Ring General dropped the Intercontinental Championship to Sami Zayn on Night One of WrestleMania XL, while Night Two saw McIntyre win the World Heavyweight Championship from Seth Rollins, but then drop the title to Damian Priest following the latter's Money In the Bank cash-in.
The RAW banner on the official World Wrestling Entertainment website was updated this week, as seen below. Priest has replaced McIntyre, while Zayn has replaced Gunther. Rollins, Becky Lynch, Cody Rhodes, and Rhea Ripley were left untouched from the previous banner.
WWE often updates their show banners after the annual Draft, or after other major happenings. The RAW and SmackDown banners will likely be updated again next week after the 2024 Draft wraps on RAW.
Jade Cargill sends warning ahead of the WWE Draft
The 2024 Draft will kick off this Friday on SmackDown, and then wrap up with next Monday's RAW. The annual roster shake-up is set to feature major changes for the NXT brand this year.
Jade Cargill is a SmackDown superstar, but she seems open to performing on all three brands. She just issued a pre-Draft warning to everyone on the roster on X (formerly Twitter) today, while also predicting Tuesday's NXT Spring Breakin' match between Trick Williams and Ilja Dragunov.
"With the Draft coming up, I'm keeping my eyes on all brands. That's including NXT, and I'm particularly interested in this Trick Williams vs. The Mad Dragon match for the NXT Championship, and if I had to place my bid, I would put my money on... 'Whoop That Trick!'" Jade Cargill said.
Coming out of WrestleMania XL, Big Money Jade won her singles debut over Chelsea Green on RAW. She and Bianca Belair then defeated Green and Piper Niven on SmackDown that week.
