Major name could confront CM Punk on WWE RAW following sudden injury, analyst says
CM Punk and Roman Reigns set aside their egos and worked together under the mentorship of The Wiseman, Paul Heyman, at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames. The union proved to be a successful one, as the new Bloodline was humbled. However, The Best in the World's issues might only have begun.
The Survivor Series fallout edition of RAW tonight will open with CM Punk as announced by GM Adam Pearce. WWE analyst Sam Roberts noted on his podcast that Bronson Reed's injury this past Saturday may force the company to officially kickstart Punk's long-awaited program with Seth 'Freakin' Rollins.
On the latest episode of Notsam Wrestling, Sam Roberts addressed The Auszilla's sudden injury, which seemingly happened after the 330-pound wrestler jumped off the top of the cage onto Reigns lying on a table during the main event of Survivor Series. Unfortunately for Reed, Punk pulled the OTC off the table, leading the big man to crash face-first onto it.
"Bronson Reed tweeted out something about injuries being temporary but moments last forever. When you look at that shot of Bronson Reed attempting to hit the Tsunami off the top of the WarGames cage, and Roman Reigns is pulled off the table by CM Punk. Apparently, there may have been an injury that happened to Bronson Reed when that happened, and so, who knows if the Bronson Reed-Seth Rollins story continues," Sam Roberts said. [From 7:28 to 7:56]
Sam Roberts then discussed the last match between Reed and Rollins in which the Auszilla picked up the victory with assistance from the new Bloodline. On account of this detail, Roberts feels that the feud does not "have a bow on it," but WWE can revisit it later. He added that perhaps it was time to strike while the iron was hot as The Best in the World and The OTC just shook hands.
"So the question is, does that handshake with Roman Reigns play in to Seth Rollins absolute and utter contempt for CM Punk," he added [From 8:22 to 8:35]

Needless to say, Seth Rollins will have something to say about CM Punk and Roman Reigns joining forces, even if it was for one night.
Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk reportedly on the cards for WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas
Prior to Survivor Series: WarGames, reports stated that Seth Rollins will resume his rivalry with Bronson Reed after the Thanksgiving event, while the former World Heavyweight Champion's inevitable program with CM Punk is the end game.
Being a high-profile showdown many years in the making, it is unfathomable that WWE books Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk on any show other than WrestleMania 41 next year.
Interestingly, WWE has already announced Seth Rollins vs. Bronson Reed in a Steel Cage match for the annual Live Holiday Tour on December 26, 2024, but that was before the injury Reed suffered inside WarGames.
As of this writing, it is unclear if Bronson Reed's injury is severe, and how WWE plays it into the storyline in the weeks ahead.
