Major name reveals he didn't get along with Roman Reigns during his WWE run

The Original Tribal Chief Roman Reigns has been a dominant force in WWE for nearly four years. However, actor Stephen Amell recently shared a less-than-positive experience during his time with the company, revealing a strained relationship with the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

The Canadian actor was part of a full-fledged match in the Stamford-based promotion in 2015. Amell teamed up with Neville to defeat the duo of Wade Barrett (FKA King Barrett) and Cody Rhodes (FKA Stardust) at SummerSlam.

Meanwhile, in 2015, the erstwhile Big Dog was in the midst of a push towards the WWE World Heavyweight Championship but faced significant backlash due to a perceived lack of organic popularity. Despite his strong in-ring skills and physical presence, many fans felt Reigns was being forced down their throats as the next top star.

In an interview with Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, Stephen Amell stated that the 39-year-old was the only WWE Superstar he didn't connect with, despite his positive experiences with the rest of the roster. The 43-year-old actor attributed this to Roman Reigns' introverted nature and preference for keeping to himself rather than any personal animosity.

"The only guy that I didn't really get along with was Roman [Reigns]. Not for any particular reason, but I'm on a loop with these guys, and everyone was very inclusionary, and he just kind of keeps to himself. So I don't think it had anything to do with me personally, but he was the only guy that I never really got on with," Amell said. (From 47:30 to 47:55)

Will Roman Reigns appear on the upcoming WWE show?

The Original Tribal Chief has been absent from television since the August 16, 2024, installment of Friday Night SmackDown. In that episode, the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline brutally laid waste to Reigns and sent him packing.

SmackDown is set to return to the USA Network this week and WWE has featured Roman Reigns prominently on the promotional poster for the upcoming episode on X (Twitter), raising speculation about the former Shield member's return to television. However, the company has not made an official announcement yet.

Meanwhile, Solo Sikoa is set to lock horns with Cody Rhodes in a Steel Cage Match this Friday. It will be interesting to see if Roman interferes during the match.
