Major rivals to reunite in over two years, predicts WWE veteran, to have a blockbuster feud with The New Day

The New Day is perhaps the most hated duo in WWE right now, as they went off on an injured star, Big E, to turn heel on Monday Night RAW. Recently, Tommy Dreamer predicted a blockbuster feud for the duo against a reunited Rey and Dominik Mysterio, aka The Mysterios.

On the recent edition of Monday Night RAW, Dominik Mysterio crossed paths with The New Day. The two expected Dirty Dom to understand why they did that to Big E. Instead, Mysterio said they went too far, and the duo tried to go off on the third-generation WWE star.

Speaking on Busted Open After Dark, Tommy Dreamer reacted to the backstage segment. The 53-year-old WWE veteran predicted the two could feud if Dominik Mysterio reunites with his long-time rival, Rey Mysterio, in the future.

"If I'm looking at my feuds for 2025, I would say Rey Mysterio is getting involved with this, whether it's the LWO (Latino World Order) or it's him and Dragon Lee... Could you imagine that if Rey and Dom could team up for a one-night only? That's just a booking place to go," Dreamer said. (From 16:45 to 17:16)

The Mysterios and The New Day have never crossed paths in WWE

A few years ago, The Mysterios were a top-tier team in the tag team division on Friday Night SmackDown. Rey and Dominik Mysterio captured the SmackDown Tag Team Championship and held it for a few months in the Stamford-based promotion.

Elsewhere, The New Day was feuding with Bobby Lashley and MVP on Monday Night RAW. It's been a few years since The Mysterios teamed up in the company. Meanwhile, Woods and Kingston remained strong and turned on Big E instead of going their separate ways.

Regardless of their contributions in the tag team division, both teams have never crossed paths in WWE. On the recent edition of RAW, Dominik Mysterio crossed paths with The New Day. A few months ago, LWO feuded with Kingston and Woods for a while.

It'll be interesting to see if the father-son duo can reunite over a common cause in the Stamford-based promotion.
