Major star will interfere in Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre, says WWE Analyst, at Clash at the Castle

WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H recently confirmed that Drew McIntyre has been cleared to compete after recovering from an injury. The Game also announced that The Scottish Warrior would challenge Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash at the Castle in his home country of Scotland.

While McIntyre plans to recapture the title he lost at WrestleMania XL just a few minutes after winning it from Seth Rollins, he also continues to feud with CM Punk. The latter has previously cost him the title at The Show of Shows by attacking him following his match against The Visionary, leaving him easy prey for then-SeƱor Money in the Bank Damian Priest. Punk also cost him another shot at becoming the number one contender when he interfered in a Fatal Four-Way match and allowed Jey Uso to turn the table on The Scottish Warrior.

Now, WWE analyst Sam Roberts believes Punk will also interfere in McIntyre's match against Priest. On his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Roberts disclosed that he thinks The Best in the World would cost The Scottish Warrior his World Heavyweight Championship shot at Clash at the Castle, leading Priest to go into SummerSlam with the title to face Gunther:

"We know that Gunther, the King of the Ring, gets his World Heavyweight Championship match. I believe that the World Heavyweight Champion at SummerSlam will still be Damian Priest. I believe CM Punk will cost Drew McIntyre the title in Scotland," he said. [From 20:04 - 20:20]

Damian Priest confronted Gunther on WWE RAW

Last Monday on RAW, Gunther addressed his victory over Randy Orton at King and Queen of the Ring and becoming the new King of the Ring. He also revealed his intention of going after Damian Priest's World Heavyweight Championship.

Priest then headed to the ring to confront The Ring General. He pointed out the latter's controversial victory over The Viper, claiming he did not beat Orton as the SmackDown star's shoulders were not on the mat when the referee counted to three. The Judgment Day member also claimed he could teach Gunther about the business.

While the leader of Imperium acknowledged that business was not his expertise, he stated that he could teach Priest about "this sport." He told The Judgment Day member that he would have to either give him the business lecture before their potential SummerSlam match and address him as "King" or after and address him as "World Heavyweight Champion." However, their confrontation was interrupted by Drew McIntyre.

While many expect Drew McIntyre to win the World Heavyweight Title in his home country, it would be interesting to see if Sam Roberts' suggested scenario will happen and whether Damian Priest would be the one holding the title going into WWE SummerSlam.
