Major stipulation could return for an epic showdown between Randy Orton and Kevin Owens, says WWE veteran
Kevin Owens hit Randy Orton with a piledriver on WWE SmackDown this past week, and the two stars are seemingly not done with each other. Meanwhile, Bubba Ray Dudley thinks the piledriver could lead to the return of the No Holds Barred stipulation for the two in the coming weeks or months.
On the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Kevin Owens did the unthinkable and brought back the piledriver. The Prizefighter mercilessly dropped The Viper on his head, and the 14-time WWE World Champion was stretchered out of the arena with Cody Rhodes by his side.
Speaking on Busted Open, WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley said there's a reason why the move was performed and believes the management could bring back the No Holds Barred stipulation for an epic showdown between The Viper and The Prizefighter in the coming weeks or months.
"I love what they did with this move. This is one of those moves that lends to my conversation of a No Holds Barred match. I can see them building to a No Holds Barred match because of this piledriver," Dudley said. (From 02:30 to 02:52)

Randy Orton and Kevin Owens were supposed to compete at WWE Crown Jewel 2024
Last month, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton started a feud on Friday Night SmackDown when Owens attacked Cody Rhodes. The two former world champions tried to one-up each other on different occasions on the blue brand.
Later, Randy Orton called out Triple H and reasoned with him to get a match with Kevin Owens in Saudi Arabia. Much to The Game's wishes, he agreed and the match was made official.
However, The Prizefighter wanted to hurt The Viper and attacked him with a steel chair before the bout even began. This led to a double disqualification, and the match never occurred at WWE Crown Jewel.
Regardless of the rules, the two brawled in Saudi Arabia, and Owens put Orton through a table with an elbow drop. Later, the former Universal Champion crossed a line when he hit the 14-time World Champion with a piledriver.
