Major superstars, who are set to make their WWE debut next week, are no longer a big deal, says Vince Russo (Exclusive)

Two major names are set to make their WWE debut next week, and fans are more than excited about it. However, wrestling veteran Vince Russo believes the duo are no longer a "big deal."

WWE Universe has been eagerly waiting for the Motor City Machine Guns' debut ever since it was reported that the tag team is headed to the global juggernaut. Nick Aldis confirmed their appearance on SmackDown next week as he revealed that a new team will show up on the blue brand to take on Angel and Berto of Legado Del Fantasma.

Speaking about their impending debut on Sportskeeda Wrestling's BroDown, Vince Russo noted that while MCMG were indeed a great team back in the 2000s, they seemingly are well past their prime now.

"Not at their age [when asked if MCMG are a big deal]. They were a big deal when we had them in freakin TNA in the 2000s. 2000s! We are in 2025. I mean, come on man. What are we doing? To bring them in at the age they are at, I don’t know, man. I don’t get it." [from 38:58 onwards]

Motor City Machine Guns have wrestled across the globe and are on the greatest tag teams of all time. Fans have high expectations from the duo upon their WWE debut.
