Major Triple H mistake with CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre at WWE Bad Blood pointed out by 18-time champion: "I'm not a fan"

CM Punk and Drew McIntyre are set to clash inside Hell in a Cell at WWE Bad Blood next month. However, Bubba Ray Dudley believes that Triple H is making a mistake depending on how the two superstars will be booked to fight inside the steel structure.

RAW general manager Adam Pearce confirmed this past Monday that Punk vs. McIntyre III will be at Bad Blood in Atlanta, Georgia. He added the stipulation of being a Hell in a Cell Match because he apparently wanted the rivalry to end once and for all.

Speaking on a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Dudley expressed that an 'I Quit' Match might have been a better stipulation. He stated that he's not against the Hell in a Cell Match, although he preferred not having a lot of gimmick weapons inside it. The 18-time champion explained how he wanted the structure itself to be used as a weapon by Punk and McIntyre.

"I don't know if the Cell is the best utilization of a gimmick match for these two guys. I'm also not a fan when there are gimmicks in the Cell. The Cell is the gimmick. The cell is the weapon. I don't like it when there's use of, there could be a table under the ring and you have access to it. But I'm not a fan of too many gimmicks within the Cell. Maybe one, but it should be the structure that is so intimidating, the structure that is so dangerous. The structure that they talk, 'Oh my God. Hell in a Cell. The most dangerous match.' Like how the way they describe it on commentary, 'It takes years off of your career.' The Cell this and that. Is it really about the Cell or is it about the gimmicks that are in the Cell?" Dudley said. [From 1:49 - 2:41]

Drew McIntyre won the first match against CM Punk at WWE SummerSlam with Seth Rollins as the special guest referee. Punk evened it out by beating McIntyre in a Strap Match at Bash in Berlin.

AJ Lee comments on her involvement in the CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre feud

CM Punk's wife and former WWE star AJ Lee has been mentioned by Drew McIntyre during their feud. There have been rumors about Lee possibly returning to wrestling and getting involved at Bash in Berlin.

In an interview with ComicBook.com, Lee was asked about her potential involvement in the Punk-McIntyre feud. She admitted that she has no idea what's happening between her husband and The Scottish Warrior.

"I mean this in the most loving way, I have no idea what's going on [laughs]. I'm weird about, like, I don't want to watch my husband wrestle live because I'm scared. It's like a weird juju thing," Lee said. [H/T: ComicBook.com]

CM Punk and AJ Lee began dating during their time together in WWE. They got married on June 13, 2014, when the company infamously fired him on the same day.
