Major update on Kevin Owens' WWE future days after he was banned from SmackDown
Kevin Owens has been on a whole other level since his surprising betrayal of Cody Rhodes after WWE Bad Blood 2024. The Prizefighter took out Randy Orton with a banned piledriver a couple of weeks ago, putting him out of action for an indefinite period.
The former Universal Champion was banned from entering the SmackDown arena last week, and that has been the case multiple times. Last Friday, Cody Rhodes called out Owens, but Nick Aldis informed that the management wanted KO to stay out of the arena until the matter was dealt with 'internally.'
According to WrestleVotes, during a live Q&A with Bill Apter on Backstage Pass, while Owens is being kept away from the arena for SmackDown, he is not leaving the company. Updating his contract status, they stated that Kevin Owens had either signed a deal or was going to sign a deal very soon.
“It’s either done or on the verge of getting done. Just look at the place that he’s been in the last month or so, top of the card, new merchandise. He’s not going anywhere,” reported WrestleVotes. [10:00 onwards]
Kevin Owens is set to return to the blue brand this Friday and could face The American Nightmare. With the carnage KO has created over the past few weeks, it would be interesting to see what unfolds when both finally confront each other.
