Major WWE name addresses the fans following one-off appearance at Saturday Night's Main Event
Despite his busy schedule, Pat McAfee managed to be part of the WWE commentary team during the recently concluded Saturday Night's Main Event. The College GameDay Analyst joined Michael Cole, Joe Tessitore, and Jesse Ventura to call the action-packed event.
Following the show, McAfee took to his Instagram story to share his thoughts. He mentioned that it was an absolute honor to be back among the WWE Universe. He was thankful and described the experience as feeling like home.
"'Twas an absolute honor to be back in the @wwe Universe... What an electric night... Feels like HOME. So damn thankful," McAfee wrote.
This appearance was a one-off for Pat McAfee. However, he is set to return soon as a full-time commentator for the Stamford-based company. He will join the RAW broadcast team starting with the red brand's premiere on Netflix next month.
Pat McAffe recently teased an in-ring return at WWE Royal Rumble
Pat McAfee made a surprise appearance in the Men's Royal Rumble match earlier this year. He entered the match at number 22. Upon entering the ring, McAfee found himself face-to-face with Omos and Bron Breakker. However, he did not want any part of the two imposing superstars. Hence, he ended up hilariously eliminating himself from the match.
On a recent episode of The Pat McAfee Show, he teased a potential in-ring return at the 2025 Royal Rumble in February. McAfee mentioned that he has been working out and feeling healthier than ever, hinting at a possible appearance.
"Woah, woah, I have been working out. How about it? I’ve been healthier than I ever been," Pat McAfee said.
It remains to be seen if McAfee will make back-to-back Royal Rumble appearances. With John Cena confirmed for his final Rumble appearance, all signs point to next year's event being one of the biggest in history.
