Major WWE name on his "family" potentially helping him against The Bloodline
The Bloodline on WWE SmackDown might be in store for a bigger threat than one could imagine. Recently, Cody Rhodes commented on the possibility of his family going up against the faction.
Cody Rhodes has spent a major portion of his return to WWE in a feud with The Bloodline. The story runs pretty deep from both ends and The American Nightmare's ready to go up against the faction alongside his family.
In a recent interview with Rex Castillo, Rhodes stated two young boys from his family have considered wrestling a future option. He stated he wouldn't mind teaming up with them and Dustin Rhodes to potentially take on The Bloodline:
"I feel like every Bloodline individual when they're born is told like they have to hate me. Like it's their job to hunt me down. I have a family—two young men who are considering the voyage into our industry. But I'm very trepidatious to mention them because Dylan and Dolton both at the University of Texas are outstanding athletes, and they really have it in their blood. They got it in their blood because I saw it firsthand when they trained with QT Marshal at the Nightmare Factory," Rhodes said.
He added:
"I really want to slow roll that because [If you're in a six or eight-man tag match with Cody and Dustin Rhodes] Jacob Fatu is a maneater and Tama Tonga is not to be trifled with. Of course, Solo Sikoa, current Tribal Chief. They're all superior athletes. I don't know. We'll [The Rhodes Family] do it. We'll go down swinging. It's a very Rhodes' trait. We'll do it, but I know as we get a little more years on us and everyting we'll have sharpened out swords just a bit more," Rhodes said. (From 05:23 to 06:48)
Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns will face The Bloodline at WWE Bad Blood 2024
Last month, Roman Reigns returned with vengeance and assisted Cody Rhdoes in defeating Solo Sikoa. Earlier this month, The Orignal Tribal Chief did the same thing and cost Sikoa another opportunity.
Meanwhile, The current Tribal Chief had enough of Reigns' antics and agreed to team up with Jacob Fatu to face him and The American Nightmare in a tag team match in Atlanta at WWE Bad Blood 2024.
It'll be interesting to see which team prevails and which star will take the pinfall to further enhance the story on WWE SmackDown.
