Major WWE name returns at Saturday Night's Main Event weeks ahead of reported schedule
A major WWE name recently returned at Saturday Night's Main Event. The star was initially reported to return in January 2025.
In recent years, Pat McAfee has become one of the most popular names in professional wrestling. In early 2024, the star returned to WWE TV to continue commentating alongside Michael Cole. However, in August 2024, McAfee again went on hiatus to return to College GameDay.
Triple H recently announced that the 37-year-old star was set to return as a full-time commentator on Monday Night RAW. Since this announcement, several reports suggested McAfee would return during the red brand's Netflix debut on January 6, 2025.
However, Pat McAfee made his surprising return at Saturday Night's Main Event with a huge pop. The former SmackDown personality reunited with the legendary Michael Cole at the commentary table.
Saturday Night's Main Event's card is stacked with some of the biggest names on the roster. Cody Rhodes is set to take on Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Meanwhile, Gunther will lock horns with Damian Priest and Finn Balor in a Triple Threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship.
It remains to be seen what the Triple H-led creative team has planned for the show.
