Major WWE stable teases unfinished business with Cody Rhodes

Two popular WWE Superstars were spotted glaring at Cody Rhodes during a backstage segment on this past Friday's episode of SmackDown. The American Nightmare retained his Undisputed WWE Championship by defeating AJ Styles in an "I Quit" Match at Clash at the Castle last Saturday night in Scotland.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has shared an interesting post today on social media. The wrestling journalist shared an image from this past Friday's edition of the blue brand and noted that there were two superstars staring at Rhodes backstage. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson of The O.C. were spotted looking at the champion as he walked by. AJ Styles is the leader of the faction and it could mean that the Undisputed WWE Champion's business with the group wasn't finished yet.

"Just caught this from SmackDown. A little out of focus, but Anderson and Gallows staring down Cody Rhodes as he walked out for his match," wrote Sapp.

Solo Sikoa attacked Cody Rhodes following his victory at Clash at the Castle: Scotland. The Bloodline attempted to attack CM Punk this past Friday night on SmackDown but Rhodes was there to make the save.

Vince Russo claims the WWE Universe has already moved on from Cody Rhodes

Wrestling veteran Vince Russo believes that wrestling fans are fickle and are already bored with Cody Rhodes.

Speaking on the most recent episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show, Russo stated that WWE fans are always on to the next thing. He suggested that fans have become bored with the 38-year-old after he finished his story at WrestleMania XL.

"Bro you have said this since I have known you. It's a very very very fickle hardcore audience, and it is always on to the next thing. And you said this bro. So they got what they wanted, okay guys, you got what they wanted. Now they are bored with it, and now it's on to the next thing," said Russo. [3:16 onwards]
