Major WWE star details win over Ronda Rousey; explains biggest difference between two titles reigns

After defeating Ronda Rousey in WWE, a few names have made their careers in the company, including Liv Morgan, who recently detailed her win over The Baddest Woman on the Planet. The current Women's World Champion pointed out the biggest difference between her past and present reign as champion.

In 2022, Liv Morgan won the Women's Money in the Bank contract and later cashed it on Ronda Rousey to become the SmackDown Women's Champion. However, the star's lack of confidence was visible, and it took her a while to reclaim the gold and reach the division's top.

Speaking on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, the 30-year-old star detailed her win against Ronda Rousey and explained the biggest difference in confidence when she became the Women's World Champion compared to SmackDown Women's Champion.

"They don’t [compare] actually, in a lot of ways. When I won the SmackDown Title I was very much in disbelief, like that was the pinnacle of my dream coming true, making it to WWE and being champion, winning Money the Bank, beating Ronda Rousey, and having my first title. That was truly just like wow I really, really, really did it, and I remember just standing on the turnbuckle with my title, just looking into the audience and just trying to remember everything about that moment and feeling forever, because I just couldn’t believe it," Morgan said.

It was drastically different the second time for Liv Morgan when she captured the Women's World Championship from Becky Lynch earlier this year.

"So it was different on that level, and also, my confidence was just different. I kind of just said I was very grateful and just like wow, I can’t believe I had done this, and I knew I had earned this, so I just felt differently about it," Morgan said. [H/T - CVV]

Liv Morgan can become a double champion at WWE Crown Jewel 2024

Earlier this year, Liv Morgan defeated Becky Lynch to rule the women's division on Monday Night RAW. In the coming months, she defeated notable names, including Rhea Ripley, and replaced her in The Judgment Day.

Meanwhile, Nia Jax moved to Friday Night SmackDown and dominated the women's division. She quickly won the Queen of the Ring Tournament and captured the WWE Women's Championship from Bayley at SummerSlam.

This Saturday, Liv Morgan and Nia Jax will collide in a one-on-one bout to determine a new WWE Women's Crown Jewel Champion in Saudi Arabia. Morgan and Jax can become a double champion in the Stamford-based company.

While the title was made exclusively for the upcoming premium live event in the Middle East, there is no word on whether the championship will appear after the event or the winner will carry it on weekly TV.
