Major WWE star set to kick off tonight's episode of RAW
The opening segment for tonight's episode of WWE RAW has been revealed. This week's edition of the red brand was taped last week at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
Drew McIntyre returned on the December 2 episode of RAW and leveled Sami Zayn with a Claymore Kick. The Scottish Warrior has also attacked The Usos in recent weeks and defeated Zayn in a singles match at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14. The company took to X (fka Twitter) to announce that McIntyre would be kicking off tonight's show.
"TONIGHT on #WWERaw: @DMcIntyreWWE kicks off the show! What does The Scottish Warrior have to say about his recent attacks on members of The Bloodline? 🔥⚔️."
McIntyre took issue with Sami Zayn and The Usos agreeing to team up with Roman Reigns in the Men's WarGames match at Survivor Series last month. He confronted Solo Sikoa on this past Friday's edition of SmackDown and complimented him for being the only one to stand up to The Head of the Table.
Jimmy Uso showed up out of nowhere and attacked McIntyre with a crutch following the promo.
Dutch Mantell reacts to Drew McIntyre showing up on WWE SmackDown
Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell recently discussed Drew McIntyre's surprising appearance this past Friday night on SmackDown.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk, Mantell shared that McIntyre's appearance on SmackDown surprised him. The legend noted that the unannounced appearance worked well and was not something fans were expecting.
"Sometimes when you open with that, people say, 'It's more of the same.' But when Drew showed up, I didn't expect him to show up. That's what you're not expecting. And that's what keeps you saying, 'Okay what are they gonna do with this?' So it was well set up and well done. And then it worked right into a six-man, which was good," he said. Drew McIntyre went on hiatus for several weeks following his loss to CM Punk in a Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood in October. It will be interesting to see if Roman Reigns confronts the 39-year-old for attacking his allies from the OG Bloodline in the weeks ahead.
