Major WWE star shares heartfelt tribute to Hall of Famer Sika Anoa'i

A major WWE star penned a heartfelt tribute to Sika Anoa'i today following his passing. Sika Anoa'i was a WWE Hall of Famer and the father of Roman Reigns.

Sika and his brother, Afa Anoa'i, were a very popular tag team in the 1970s known as the Wild Samoans. They appeared following Roman Reigns' victory over Jey Uso at WWE Hell in a Cell 2020 and celebrated with The Tribal Chief on the entrance ramp.

Sika Anoa'i passed away at the age of 79 today, and RAW General Manager Adam Pearce shared a touching tribute on X/Twitter. He noted that the legend's contributions to the industry could never be questioned and sent his condolences to the Anoa'i family:

"Godspeed, Sika. Your legacy and contributions to our wonderful industry can never be questioned. My heart goes out to the entire Anoa’i family, their friends, and everyone touched by this. Rest well, sir. My respect, always. 🙏☝️," he wrote.

WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long says Roman Reigns must return as a babyface

Roman Reigns has been absent from WWE television since his loss to Cody Rhodes in the main event of Night 2 of WrestleMania XL. Solo Sikoa also recently told Paul Heyman on SmackDown that The Head of the Table would not be returning at all.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine, Teddy Long shared why he believes Roman Reigns needs to return to the promotion as a babyface. However, he added that the only way he can return as a fan favorite is for Reigns to cut ties with The Wiseman, Paul Heyman.

"I think Roman, he needs to come back as a babyface. That can't be just one [appearance]. He has to get a little bit of a run out of it (...) The only way that really will become believable, and work, is you have to drop [Paul] Heyman." [8:29 onwards]
