Major WWE star teases kicking members out of his faction on RAW
WWE RAW is set to air live in less than two hours, and fans are buzzing in a major way as this is the red brand's go-home show for Bad Blood. Officials have released a rare pre-RAW storyline development, and now it looks like tonight's show could feature the significant change that was delayed earlier this month.
The Final Testament is one of the many factions on WWE's main roster. The heel stable features Karrion Kross, Scarlett, Paul Ellering, and The Authors of Pain's Akam and Rezar. The group went back and forth with The New Day this summer, but the babyfaces seem to have won the rivalry. Kross has not wrestled on RAW since losing a #1 Contender's Triple Threat on August 26, while AOP's last two-on-two red brand match was a loss to The New Day on August 5. In between those two losses, The New Day and Odyssey Jones defeated the heel trio on August 19.
WWE officials reportedly delayed a recent RAW angle that was to feature an undisclosed faction, which could be The Final Testament. There is no word on WWE potentially splitting AOP from Kross' faction on tonight's RAW, but anything is possible as The Tollman looks to be in line for another push.
The Herald of Doomsday is featured in a rare vignette released ahead of RAW today. Kross looked back at his NXT run and admitted that he was humiliated in his RAW debut, where the then-NXT Champion was squashed by Jeff Hardy. Kross also ridiculed WWE management, accusing them of releasing him just a few months later because he was a threat.
The NYC native took several shots at former generations of superstars, noting that they were afraid of losing their spots and did not offer any kind of advice, guidance, or help. Kross declared that these were liars, not legends, who wouldn't even make eye contact in the hallway, and because of this, they could all go to Hell. He ended the promo with an ominous warning.
"I don't want you to misunderstand, don't confuse this. I'm not jealous or bitter, I am, in fact, nature's true process. I'm here to kill the old to make way for the new. ... Time is up, I'm just here to show you the truth - the devil you know vs. the devils you don't," Karrion Kross said.
Precious Paul fueled the rumors and speculation with his latest cryptic rant on X, which the WWE Hall of Famer usually posts every Monday. Kross' vignette was titled, "Karrion Kross will kill the old to make room for the new," and that led to speculation on a potential house cleaning for The Final Testament. Ellering's statement included a similar theme as he teased a "PURGE OF PAIN" and attached another mysterious photo.
"@WWE The word of the Kross lights the way. #TFT Kross has captured the zeitgeist of today. Thy will shall be done. Mea Culpa, for we know what will happen. You are like envelopes that have been mailed but without a stamp. THE PURGE OF PAIN has arrived #AOP," Paul Ellering wrote with the photo below.
The last televised matches for Kross and AOP both came on WWE Main Event. The August 29 episode saw AOP defeat Otis and Akira Tozawa, while Kross defeated Tozawa on September 26. Kross and Scarlett worked this weekend's non-televised live events, losing to The Terror Twins.
