Major WWE star to turn on Cody Rhodes on the first SmackDown after Survivor Series, predicts analyst
WWE has witnessed several betrayals over the past few months. A WWE analyst thinks another could happen on the first SmackDown after Survivor Series.
Sam Roberts believes we could see Kevin Owens turn on Cody Rhodes after the November PLE. The 41-year-old predicted on his Notsam Wrestling podcast that Cody Rhodes will team up with Kevin Owens, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, and potentially Jimmy Uso against The Bloodline in a WarGames match at Survivor Series. Meanwhile, he addressed the possibility of The Prizefighter turning heel and attacking his friend, The American Nightmare.
Many have been anticipating Owens to turn on Rhodes since the latter gave him an Undisputed WWE Championship shot at Bash in Berlin. Roberts now believes the super-babyface team could lose to The Bloodline at Survivor Series before The Prizefighter turns on The American Nightmare on the following episode of SmackDown:
"If I had to pick a time for Kevin Owens to turn, it would be the SmackDown after Survivor Series. It would be Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens on one WarGames team. And then Kevin Owens turns on Cody Rhodes the SmackDown after Survivor Series maybe because they lose, I don't know. Maybe Kevin Owens is the one that takes the pin and then we go, maybe the main event of the Royal Rumble pay-per-view is Kevin Owens vs. Cody with Kevin Owens as a bad guy," he said. Sam Roberts thinks Kevin Owens and Randy Orton could win the WWE Tag Team Championships
Randy Orton returned to SmackDown last Friday to team with Kevin Owens as they defeated A-Town Down Under. Sam Roberts now thinks the two top superstars would eventually go after the WWE Tag Team Championships.
The 41-year-old claimed The Viper and The Prizefighter would dethrone The Bloodline unless they get cheated:
"So, who's gonna dethrone The Bloodline? Well, I would think Randy Orton and Kevin Owens unless they get scr*wed," he said.
On the same episode of his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Roberts discussed a few other topics, including Armando Estrada potentially becoming the new voice of The Bloodline after Paul Heyman, potential finishes for Reigns and Rhodes' match against The Bloodline at Bad Blood, and The Original Tribal Chief potentially facing The American Nightmare at WrestleMania 41.
