Major WWE star to turn heel soon by attacking Braun Strowman, says veteran (Exclusive)
A turn has proven an effective way of changing a WWE star's creative fortunes, and Vince Russo believes the company has already planted the seeds for The Miz going back to his heel ways. While The A-Lister is best known for his work as a pro wrestling villain, he's been a babyface recently due to his veteran status and fans' growing respect for him.
However, history suggests you can't always trust The Miz, as he doesn't hesitate to stab WWE stars in the back. During this week's RAW, The Miz was seen conversing with Braun Strowman about his match against Bronson Reed.
Strowman addressed Miz's loss to Reed and stated that only a giant could beat a giant. As noted on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo felt WWE was foreshadowing a heel turn and believed The Miz might be resentful about Braun's comment.
Russo explained:
"They have already telegraphed the way they are going to get out of this, which is not going to do Bronson Reed any favors. The conversation Strowman was having with Miz. You know, he was saying to Miz, like, it's going to take a giant to take care of a giant, and like, Miz couldn't take care of him. That's how they are going to get out of it, which is not going to get Bronson Reed over at all." [49:04 - 49:41]
Vince could see The Miz costing Braun Strowman his next match against Bronson Reed, which would be WWE's way of protecting the Monster of all Monsters.
The former WWE writer didn't think the potential booking decision would benefit Reed even if he secured a win over a former Universal Champion.
Russo added:
"No, no, he is going to be the cause of Strowman losing. They are going to Miz back here. A heel (absolutely). Truth is nowhere in sight; he took offense to what Strowman said, and that's going to be the cause of Reed getting over, which is going to be Reed zero good." [49:43 onwards]
After their mind-boggling showdown on RAW, Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman are bound to have another clash soon, and it would be interesting to see if The Miz influences its outcome.
