Major WWE star wants to face Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 41 for the World Heavyweight Championship

WrestleMania 41 is months away, and WWE is gearing up to host The Biggest Party of The Summer in Cleveland, Ohio. Meanwhile, former Universal Champion Braun Strowman recently expressed his desire to face Drew McIntyre at The Showcase of The Immortals for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Earlier this year, The Monster Among Men returned to WWE and remained on Monday Night RAW. The 40-year-old star is currently embroiled in a feud with The Judgment Day. He lost to Damian Priest on the latest episode of Monday Night RAW.

The Archer of Infamy is the current World Heavyweight Champion and is set to defend his title against Gunther at SummerSlam 2024. Meanwhile, Braun Strowman recently pitched an idea for him and McIntyre for WrestleMania 41 in Nevada.

In an interview with WWE Deutschland, The Monster Among Men was asked who he would like to face at WrestleMania 41. The former Mr. Money in the Bank said he wants to face Drew McIntyre at Allegiant Stadium for the World Heavyweight Championship.

"Drew McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship. He and I have talked about this, and [have] wanted this, and [have] been close to getting it. It hasn't happened, but I think he and I need a good feud that has a payoff at WrestleMania. We're both two larger-than-life titans walking on this earth with the rest of these peasants in the locker room. I think it's time they gave the big boys the spotlight. Let us go out there and let us do what we do," Strowman said. (From 24:00 to 24:33)

Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman previously walked out of WrestleMania as World Champions in WWE

A few years ago, Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman were the faces of their respective brands heading into The Grandest Stage of Them All. However, the event was moved to the Performance Center due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, both stars didn't steer away from their goals, as The Scottish Warrior went on to dethrone Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 and captured the WWE Championship.

Elsewhere, Braun Strowman was inserted into a title match with Goldberg after Roman Reigns went on a hiatus. The RAW Superstar walked out of the show as the Universal Champion.

Earlier this year, The Scottish Warrior accomplished a similar feat when he captured his third World Championship in Philadelphia. Sadly, he couldn't leave the event with the title, as Damian Priest successfully cashed in his MITB briefcase.

Meanwhile, Braun Strowman missed this year's two-night event in Philadelphia. It'll be interesting to see if the two clash at The Show of Shows next year.
