Major WWE title match takes place ahead of Money in the Bank
The 15th edition of WWE Money in the Bank will air live from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada, on Saturday, July 6, 2024. Ahead of the much-awaited-premium live event, however, Andrade recently defended his title.
Earlier this year, the Stamford-based promotion introduced a new exclusive show for X (fka Twitter) named WWE Speed, having matches with a three-minute time limit (five in case of championship matches). The show started in April with an eight-man tournament to determine the inaugural Speed Champion. Ricochet won the title by defeating Tommaso Ciampa in the final.
Amid the rumors of his departure from the company, Ricochet lost the Speed Championship to Andrade. The former AEW star recently defended his title against Xavier Woods. The 34-year-old retained the championship in a highly entertaining back-and-forth contest, as he pinned The New Day member with 35 seconds remaining.

WWE Money in the Bank 2024 will feature two title matches
Money in the Bank is one of the most anticipated premium live events in WWE. This year's edition of the show is no exception, with several top superstars scheduled to step inside the squared circle.
In addition to the two Money in the Bank ladder matches the premium live event will also feature two championship bouts. The Judgment Day's Damian Priest is scheduled to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins.
The Archer of Infamy won the title at WrestleMania XL by cashing in his Money In The Bank contract on Drew McIntyre five minutes after the latter had defeated The Visionary to become the champion.
Another champion who won the title at The Show of Shows, Sami Zayn, will defend his Intercontinental Championship at the event. The former Bloodline member will face a tough challenge in the form of Bron Breakker, who has been unstoppable since his move to the main roster earlier this year.
Elsewhere on the show, The Bloodline will also go up against the team of Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens in a six-man tag team match.
