Massive match involving The Rock must happen before Roman Reigns makes his comeback, says WWE personality

Roman Reigns has been on a break from WWE since his defeat at WrestleMania XL. A WWE personality recently suggested he should not return until The Rock squares off against a top superstar first.

The WWE personality in question is Megan Morant. The host of The Bump recently discussed the anticipated comeback of The Head of the Table while being a guest on Sam Roberts' Notsam Wrestling podcast. While the latter suggested the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion's return might not happen at SummerSlam, she proposed that The Final Boss square off against Cody Rhodes before the 39-year-old returns.

Before going on hiatus himself, The Rock confronted The American Nightmare on RAW. The Final Boss promised to go after the champion when he returns:

"I think we gotta get Rock/Cody before Roman comes back," she said. [52:11 - 52:15]

When Roberts pointed out that The Rock versus Rhodes could happen at WrestleMania 41, Morant stated that Reigns would then probably return earlier than she initially suggested.

When will Roman Reigns return to WWE?

On the same episode of the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts disclosed that he does not believe Roman Reigns will return at SummerSlam, although it remains a possibility.

Meanwhile, the analyst suggested The Head of the Table could make his anticipated comeback a few months later at Survivor Series:

"There are some people who think Roman will be back at SummerSlam and it's possible. But I kinda feel like it'll be a little while before Roman comes back. (...) Maybe Roman comes back like at Survivor Series or something like that. I don't know," he said.

While Roberts thinks Reigns will not return at SummerSlam, he suggested Jimmy Uso could make his comeback at the premium live event. It would be interesting to see if that would happen.
