Massive return announced for upcoming WWE show; championship match confirmed

On the latest episode of WWE RAW, CM Punk's return date was officially announced. Also during the show, a match for the World Tag Team Championship was confirmed for next week.

The Second City Saint did not appear on the red brand this week, as he was assaulted by Drew McIntyre last week. He defeated The Scottish Warrior in a Strap Match at Bash in Berlin, and on the fallout episode of RAW, he challenged Gunther to a match for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Drew McIntyre showed up out of nowhere and slammed Punk on the announce table before breaking his bracelet and shoving the beads in his mouth. McIntyre appeared on the September 9 episode of RAW and stated that he also has his sights set on Gunther's title. However, Adam Pearce confronted him and announced that Drew will face CM Punk in a Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood.

It was then announced that The Straight Edge Superstar will be back on WWE RAW next week.

WWE also announced that next week, The New Day will challenge Finn Balor and JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day for the World Tag Team Championship. This will be their first title defense of their current reign.
