Massive update on Becky Lynch's WWE status following 5-month hiatus as free agent (Exclusive)
Becky Lynch hasn't been around since the RAW after King & Queen of the Ring, where she lost to Liv Morgan in their rematch for the Women's World Championship. There has been a major update on her future.
On WrestleVotes Radio on Backstage Pass, JoeyVotes, and TC spoke about the status of the living legend Becky Lynch - who has technically been a free agent for five months now. This is, of course, because WWE has specifically gone out of its way to announce her contract renewal.
JoeyVotes and TC discussed her WWE status, revealing that she has always remained on the company's internal roster sheet. Apparently she has always been considered a part of the company despite being a free agent for nearly half a year now.
They further speculated that it seems most likely that she and WWE had a handshake deal while she has remained away on a hiatus. It's going to be interesting to see when she comes back if she does, with the two guessing that the 2025 Women's Royal Rumble would be a good place to see her.
Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch's former best friend, has been out for a long time now.
Becky Lynch's long-time friend-turned-rival Charlotte Flair has also been out for all of 2024 but could be set to return sooner rather than later. In December 2023, she sustained a major injury to the ACL, MCL, and Meniscus that required surgery. The timeline of her hiatus has been fulfilled and she has been working hard to get back in the ring.
It's a shame she missed WrestleMania 40, but it's going to be a huge injection to whichever Women's division she joins when she returns. While WWE isn't hurting without her or Becky, they certainly make it a much better place and add a lot to the women's division.
Expect The Queen's music to hit at some point in the near future.
