Massive WarGames match to happen at Survivor Series after top star turned heel off-air, says WWE analyst
After Bad Blood went off the air, a top WWE Superstar attacked Cody Rhodes in the parking lot to turn heel. A analyst in the Stamford-based company now believes that the unexpected swerve seemingly confirms a massive WarGames match.
The superstar in question is Kevin Owens. The Prizefighter teased turning on Rhodes several times over the past few weeks. Nevertheless, he remained loyal to The American Nightmare, leading some to speculate that he and the Undisputed WWE Champion might fight side-by-side with Roman Reigns in a WarGames match against the new Bloodline at Survivor Series. However, Owens' recent heel turn means that scenario would not happen.
Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, WWE analyst Sam Roberts predicted a reunion of the original Bloodline to fight the new Bloodline in a WarGames match at Survivor Series:
"I think right now I'm highly emotional so I can't be held, this is feelings. OG Bloodline Survivor Series vs. new Bloodline," he said. [From 23:10 to 23:18]
The 41-year-old pointed out that Owens' turn on Rhodes would lead to a match between the two at Survivor Series, meaning The Bloodline Civil War will certainly happen at the premium live event:
"Yeah, that leads us to KO versus Cody at Survivor Series and Bloodline vs. Bloodline in WarGames. [From 51:55 to 52:00]
Sam Roberts doesn't think The Rock will be at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames
The Rock returned last night at Bad Blood after Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns defeated The Bloodline. However, Sam Roberts does not believe The Final Boss will be at Survivor Series.
The WWE analyst predicted that The Rock would not return to television until the first episode of RAW on Netflix in January:
"I don't think The Rock is back back. I think we got drip-fed. I think a little breadcrumbing and that's it. I think The Rock just peeked in here to let everybody know, 'I'm still around, I'm still watching, and I may very well still be involved.' But ultimately, I don't think he's back. I mean, I have trouble seeing The Rock at WarGames," he said.
While Jimmy Uso also returned last night to reunite with Roman Reigns, it would be interesting to see if the Original Tribal Chief will convince Jey Uso and Sami Zayn to rejoin him to fight The Bloodline in a WarGames match at Survivor Series.
