Massive legend returning at Bad Blood to make huge Bloodline revelation is possible, says ex-WWE host
Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns will battle The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood 2024. The tag team match will headline the marquee event in Atlanta. Meanwhile, former WWE host Matt Camp has predicted that a massive star could return after the tag team encounter.
The legend in question is none other than The Rock. The Final Boss has been on hiatus since RAW after WrestleMania XL. In his final appearance, The Great One confronted Cody Rhodes following the latter's Undisputed WWE Championship victory at The Show of Shows.
When Solo Sikoa took over The Bloodline in Reigns' absence after The Showcase of The Immortals, many wondered if The People's Champion was behind the scheme. Over the past few days, several teases of his return to TV at Bad Blood have been dropped. Some fans expect the Hollywood star to interfere in the tag team match or confront The American Nightmare and the Original Tribal Chief after the encounter.
On his The Wrestling Matt podcast, former RAW Talk host Matt Camp addressed potential scenarios for The Rock's possible return. He questioned whether The Final Boss could help Sikoa and Jacob Fatu or have a staredown with Reigns and Rhodes. Camp also pointed out the possibility of the former WWE Champion revealing himself as the ''Original Tribal Chief'' and a ''puppet master.''
"There's a belief that Rock is the puppet master and that Solo is answering to him. Perhaps The Tribal Chief has never been Solo Sikoa, and it has always been The Rock. Then you could have the argument of is it Original Tribal Chief? Is it one Tribal Chief? Maybe it is The Rock before Roman!'' he said.
Matt Camp added:
''Maybe it's The Rock going, 'My grandfather was the High Chief. That Bloodline runs through me before it ever ran through you! These four guys are doing what I say because I am The Original Tribal Chief. I accomplished way more than you ever did, Roman, ahead of you, and I still have.' That would get people talking, and that would be reason to main event Bad Blood." [26:04-27:15]
Ex-WWE writer also thinks The Rock could show up at Bad Blood
Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently discussed why Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns' tag team match against Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa will main event Bad Blood instead of CM Punk and Drew McIntyre's Hell in a Cell encounter.
In the latest episode of The Coach and Bro Wrestling Show on Sportskeeda's Backstage Pass, Russo pointed out that a potential return of The Rock could be the reason behind the creative decision.
"I want to add a wildcard to this, which is why Cody and Roman might be on last. They've been dropping some hints that a certain somebody may be showing up during that match. And if that happens, you know it's gotta be last," Russo said.
It will be interesting to see if The Final Boss returns to WWE TV at Bad Blood 2024.
