Massive WWE legend returning to fight John Cena before the latter retires could happen, says veteran, and it's not The Rock
WWE Superstar John Cena will retire from in-ring competition in 2025. Wrestling legend Magnum T.A. recently said the 16-time World Champion could face another WWE legend before hanging up his boots.
The legend in question is none other than Brock Lesnar. The Beast Incarnate has shared the ring with Cena several times. Their last one-on-one match came a decade ago and ended in victory for Lesnar. While the 16-time World Champion last competed in a WWE ring in April, the former MMA star has been absent from the company since his defeat against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023.
While addressing potential opponents for Cena in his last run on the Straight Talk with The Boss podcast, wrestling veteran Magnum T.A. said The Beast Incarnate should return to square off against the 47-year-old Hollywood star.
"You know, Brock Lesnar would be a great one for him to work with. He took the absolute beating of beatings with Brock. I mean, he went to Suplex City and back and around the world and still got suplexed. So, you know, that would be good," he said. [22:37 - 23:02]
Many believe The Rock could rekindle his feud with Cena following their heated interaction at WrestleMania XL. However, The Great One has made it clear that he would go after Cody Rhodes upon his comeback.
Brock Lesnar could return to WWE for a different reason, believes Magnum T.A.
On a previous episode of the Straight Talk with The Boss podcast, Magnum T.A. predicted that Brock Lesnar would return to the Stamford-based company for a different reason than going head-to-head with John Cena.
The wrestling veteran claimed The Beast Incarnate would make his long-awaited comeback to join forces with Roman Reigns to exact revenge on The Bloodline for taking out Paul Heyman.
"I think The Beast Incarnate is gonna come back. And I think him and Roman Reigns are gonna stomp a mud hole from here to Kalamazoo and back with all them boys. It's gonna be good. (...) I think him and Brock are gonna come back and stomp everybody in sight that's, you know, done the whole deal. Brock Lesnar, I think Brock Lesnar is gonna come back to help defend Paul Heyman against those dastardly guys," he said.
Whether he returns to fight John Cena or forms an unexpected alliance with Roman Reigns against The Bloodline, it would be interesting to see Brock Lesnar again in a WWE ring.
