Massive WWE legend returning after major loss for Roman Reigns is possible, says analyst; it's not The Rock
Many expect Roman Reigns to compete at the WWE Survivor Series PLE in a WarGames Match alongside the original Bloodline against Solo Sikoa's version of the faction. Meanwhile, WWE analyst Sam Roberts recently suggested a massive legend could return after months of absence following that potential square-off.
After refusing to acknowledge Sikoa as his Tribal Chief, Reigns' Wiseman, WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman, was destroyed by Sikoa and his group on SmackDown this past June. The 59-year-old has since been absent. In an interview with Sam Roberts, Heyman stated that he would return when needed in the storyline.
On his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Roberts addressed when Heyman could make his awaited comeback. He claimed it could happen after the original Bloodline suffers an unexpected loss in a potential WarGames Match against Solo and Co. at Survivor Series.
"Well, we're on the road, as I said before, but the idea that he won't, that they will try to get it will, everything will be lined up for them to win, and they still lose. That, I think, is the moment that The Wiseman comes back. And maybe it is after WarGames. Maybe they lose WarGames and go, 'What are we missing?' 'Ladies and gentlemen,' and then The Wiseman comes back, and then they can win," he said. [1:06:01-1:06:29]
Wrestling veteran thinks Paul Heyman would return to WWE by Royal Rumble
On his The Experience podcast, wrestling veteran Jim Cornette addressed the potential time of Paul Heyman's return to television. He claimed nothing impactful had happened to bring the 59-year-old back.
Meanwhile, he predicted the Hall of Famer would return around the time of Royal Rumble to build for WrestleMania 41.
"I don't think we've seen the incident that would happen yet to bring Heyman back. I think, you know, we're gonna have to be; it's probably gonna be Rumblish, building for 'Mania, whatever they're gonna there with the various players in this game to determine where Heyman would make the biggest impact. So, I would think it's gonna be till then," he said.
Roman Reigns certainly seems to be missing his Wiseman. It will be interesting to see if and when they reunite.
