Massive WWE legend will challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Title, says host, in a match Triple H promised
Gunther became the new World Heavyweight Champion at SummerSlam last night, defeating Damian Priest. A WWE host now believes he would put his title on the line against a massive legend.
Randy Orton squared off against The Ring General in the final of the King of the Ring Tournament. The match ended in controversy as Gunther pinned the 14-time world champion while the latter's shoulder was seemingly above the mat. WWE Chief Content Officer, Triple H later addressed the situation, stating that although the referee's decision was final, the two superstars could square off again down the road. Megan Morant now thinks the match could happen for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Speaking on the Notsam Wrestling podcast, the WWE host disclosed that she would love to see the 44-year-old legend clash with The Ring General one more time, referencing Triple H's words from earlier.
"We're going to get Gunther [vs.] Randy because of what happened at King of the Ring. I mean Triple H said we're gonna get it. He said we're gonna get it. [But I don't know when.] Me neither. But he said we're gonna get it. I just want it," she said. [54:39 - 55:01]

Randy Orton made a surprise appearance at WWE SummerSlam
A few weeks ago, Randy Orton was destroyed by Solo Sikoa and his new look Bloodline on SmackDown. However, The Viper made a surprise appearance last night at SummerSlam to help Cody Rhodes during the latter's Bloodline Rules Match against Sikoa.
The Viper and Kevin Owens brawled with Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa and chased them through the crowd after the Sikoa's associates attacked The American Nightmare during the title bout.
While Orton is on SmackDown, Gunther is on Monday Night RAW. It would be interesting to see if the two superstars will cross paths again after The Ring General became the new World Heavyweight Champion.
