Massive WWE update on plans for LA Knight's United States Championship reign ahead of major title defense (Exclusive)

LA Knight defeated Logan Paul to become the United States Champion at SummerSlam and has already proved his worth as a title holder over the past few months.

The former NXT star has already defended his title against Santos Escobar and now has to fight Andrade this week, with his gold on the line. While many believed that El Idolo could be propelled towards the title this week on SmackDown, it seems that WWE's plan is for LA Knight to be handed a major push.

WrestleVotes recently reported that WWE was happy with Knight's merchandise numbers and he was expected to have a lengthy run as champion. The Megastar was popular with the fans before he lifted the title and it seems that he has become even more over as the United States Champion.

Logan Paul had a lengthy spell as champion before his defeat at SummerSlam and in his absence, it seems that Knight has taken over this slot. That being said, the Maverick has already made it clear that when he returns, he will be looking for that rematch.
