Matt Cardona advocates for 20-year WWE veteran's recognition
Pro wrestler Matt Cardona (FKA Zack Ryder) recently weighed in on the legacy of one of his former WWE rivals. The Indy God believes that the 20-year veteran isn't getting the level of credit he's earned throughout his successful career.
The star in question here is The Miz, a two-time WWE Champion, an eight-time Intercontinental Champion, a two-time United States Champion, and a nine-time Tag Team Champion.
During an appearance on Matt Camp's The Wrestling Matt show, Zack Ryder was asked whether The A-Lister would make the cut in his top ten picks if he were to start a wrestling promotion today. The 39-year-old had nothing but praise for The Miz and also noted that he does not get the recognition he deserves.
"The Miz can do it all. He is a natural schmoozer, BS-er, he could talk. He's somebody who can do media, he can do movies, TV shows, and he can go in the ring. Some of my favorite matches with Miz, I'll never forget, one time we had a match at Madison Square Garden and I know it's gonna make me sound old, but we called it on the fly. We legit called it on the fly, and guess what? It was Miz calling the match because he's had so much time with John Cena when he was the champ. He is so good, does not get the credit that he deserves," Matt Cardona said. [27:03 - 27:37]

Matt Cardona questions humiliating WWE storyline with Kane
In 2012, the former United States Champion was involved in a program wherein Eve Torres was his love interest. However, John Cena and Eve locked lips while Zack Ryder was in a wheelchair.
On an episode of Monday Night RAW, The Ultimate Broski slapped The Doctor of Thugonomics and exited the ring. It was The Big Red Machine Kane who was waiting for the perfect moment and pushed him off the stage.
During the same conversation with former WWE personality, Cardona admitted he wasn't man enough to ask Vince McMahon and question the storyline.
"I could see why people thought it was a burial, and yes, it did end up storyline-wise leading to me not being featured on TV anymore, and at the time, it did feel like my hard work was being erased. But like I said, I didn't knock on Vince's [McMahon] door; I wasn't man enough back then to ask what was going on; I blame myself for that," he said.
In recent times, The Indy God has teased his WWE comeback following the crossover with TNA Wrestling. It remains to be seen if Matt Cardona makes his way back to the WWE under the leadership of Triple H.
