Matt Hardy has an idea of who can replace him and Jeff in the future
Many fans consider Matt Hardy and his brother Jeff, aka The Hardy Boyz, to be one of the best tag teams of all time. The former has commented on who could be the next Hardy Boyz.
The multi-time WWE Tag Team Champions have competed in some of the biggest wrestling companies in the world. They reunited in AEW after The Charismatic Enigma joined in 2022. However, the two stars departed the Tony Khan-owned company this year and returned to TNA Wrestling after an underwhelming run.
Speaking to Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Matt Hardy stated that his children are aware of what he does for a living, and they're excited to join the wrestling industry one day. The former ECW Champion has three sons, and he mentioned that they could become the future Hardy Boyz.
"My kids definitely understand. They are very excited to be wrestlers one day, especially my oldest and youngest. The middle child Wolfgang wants to be about 10 things. They love wrestling... It would not surprise me at all if they pursue wrestling because they take pride in the fact their name could be the Hardy Boys as well. They can be Hardy Boys second-gen Gen. We’ll see," said Matt. Matt Hardy shares his thoughts on the current state of tag team wrestling
Matt Hardy has been teaming with Brother Nero for three decades, holding gold in numerous companies. Jeff Hardy is even a former WWE Champion.
When asked for his thoughts on the current state of tag team wrestling, Matt Hardy stated:
"I think TNA has a pretty strong core group of tag teams. I’m digging it. I really like how we got to this three-way match at Bound For Glory. Initially, when I returned to TNA I targeted Moose. My initial goal was to challenge him and defeat him for the TNA Heavyweight Title... Then there is my brother who shows up. The timing worked out. Now we have our focus on tag team gold. The Hardy Boyz have another chance to capture the TNA World Tag Team Championship, as they will face two other teams at Bound For Glory in a Full Metal Mayhem match.
