Matt Hardy names one tag team he still wants to face (Exclusive)

Matt Hardy has faced almost every top wrestling tag team of the last three decades. In an exclusive interview, the TNA star said the Motor City Machine Guns remain on his list of teams to wrestle one day.

Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin began teaming together in 2006. They have won tag titles in several promotions, including NJPW, ROH, and TNA. Both men left Total Nonstop Action Wrestling on April 1, shortly before Jeff and Matt Hardy returned to the company.

Speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling's Senior Editor, Bill Apter, Matt Hardy addressed whether there are any teams he wants to step into the ring with. Matt counted his blessings for having had the opportunity to work with most other tag teams and mentioned the Motor City Machine Guns as one of those rare duos he hadn't had the chance to link up with. He looked forward to it shaping up someday.

"I honestly don't know if we have that tag team. Maybe a team that would have been cool to have a match against would have been Motor City Machine Guns because we never worked with those guys. But we've been pretty blessed, pretty lucky to work with almost everyone," said Hardy. [9:49 – 10:06]

How Jeff and Matt Hardy could face Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin

In recent months, several TNA talents have appeared on WWE programming as part of cross-promotional agreements. This has led to speculation that more wrestlers could show up unexpectedly at the Stamford-based company's NXT brand.

While Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin are free agents currently, a recent Wrestling Observer report claimed they are expected to sign with WWE. If that is the case, The Hardy Boyz and the Motor City Machine Guns could realistically cross paths if TNA and World Wrestling Entertainment continue working together.
