"Me and Cody have history" - 35-year-old star sets sight on Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes has been leading the WWE SmackDown brand as the top champion since WrestleMania XL. A 35-year-old star recently named The American Nightmare as his dream main roster opponent.
Ethan Page has been doing a phenomenal job as a top heel on NXT. After debuting in May 2024, fans feel Page has since made a name for himself with his above-average promo skills and in-ring work.
Speaking on Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown, Ethan Page named Cody Rhodes as someone he’d love to face on the main roster soon.
"Me and Cody [Rhodes] have history. I mean, it's personal history. Even if I'm the only one that saw it. I'd love to get in there with him," Page said.
Apart from Cody Rhodes, Page had some other big fishes in mind. He stated that he would love to go toe-to-toe with Randy Orton and John Cena someday. He named the Elimination Chamber as the perfect way for him to face several big names at once.
"Randy's one of my favorite wrestlers growing up. I'm grown now, so I'd love to handle that. John Cena, he can get some too. He's on a little bit of a time crunch, so that would be nice. Royal Rumble. Put that on the bucket list. WrestleMania, you said it. Let's definitely do one of those. Then, there's this show happening in Toronto. I think it's called Elimination Chamber. Six guys got to be in that match. I don't know. You could pick five, make one of them me, that'd be great. How long you want this list to be? I could go all day." [Via SI.com]
Ethan Page could find himself on the main roster soon as he is doing a great job as a heel in NXT. He has the potential to become a big name in the company down the road.
Cody Rhodes could lose his Undisputed WWE Championship soon
The American Nightmare has overcome several top names to remain the Undisputed WWE Champion. However, things could end badly for Cody Rhodes as he is set to face Kevin Owens for the title at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
KO has had several championship opportunities over the past five years. Triple H could finally put him over after he has done a lot to keep the top champions busy for a long time.
Kevin Owens has listed his reasons for hating Cody Rhodes, and that could ultimately lead to a title win for The Prizefighter. However, he could lose the title to Rhodes once again soon as the company builds towards WrestleMania 41.
