Mia Yim claps back at WWE for making brutal reference ahead of SmackDown
Mia Yim (Michin) clapped back at WWE for making a brutal reference ahead of tonight's edition of SmackDown. The veteran will be in action during tonight's show in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
The 35-year-old is set to square off against Piper Niven in a singles match on the blue brand. Ahead of tonight's episode of SmackDown, WWE noted that Mia Yim will be seeking "retribution" against Piper Niven following her sneak attack last week.
Yim was once known as Reckoning in the failed RETRIBUTION faction, and she hilariously reacted to the promotion's brutal reference in her post below.
"Seeks WHAT?!" she wrote.
Yim is also involved in a rivalry with Chelsea Green on SmackDown. Green defeated Yim on the September 6 edition of SmackDown, and the two stars will be squaring off in a Dumpster Match next Friday night.
Former WWE manager praises Mia Yim's rival
Wrestling legend Dutch Mantell recently claimed that Mia Yim is not ready to be elevated to another level and noted that Chelsea Green has the potential to be a major star.
Speaking on a recent edition of Sportskeeda's Smack Talk show, Mantell claimed that the promotion was doing as much as it could with Yim and thought she was being booked correctly on SmackDown.
"I think they are doing as much as they can with her right now. I don't think she is ready to move up. I think she is fine in the spot she is in." [29:20 - 29:35]
The veteran noted that Green was very entertaining as a heel and is playing her role perfectly on WWE television.
"The one I'm expecting to move up is Chelsea Green, and because that girl, she just stands out there, and you notice her right away. Well, she is going to do something stupid, and you know she is likable, and that's a type of heel, and she plays that role perfectly. Out of all the segments, I liked this one better than the others." [29:36 onwards]

Mia Yim has never won a title during her time in WWE. It will be interesting to see if she can defeat Piper Niven later tonight on SmackDown.
