Michael Cole backs 30-year-old female WWE star to win wrestler of the year during Saturday Night's Main Event; it's not Rhea Ripley

WWE legend Michael Cole recently backed a popular 30-year-old star to win wrestler of the year ahead of her rival Rhea Ripley. It's none other than the current Women's World Champion Liv Morgan.

At the start of this year, Liv Morgan made her electrifying return at the Women's Royal Rumble Match. Although she didn't win the 'Rumble, she went on her Revenge Tour, during which she promised to take everything away from Rhea Ripley, including Dominik Mysterio and The Judgment Day. The star managed to keep her promises and went on to win the Women's World Championship.

Since then, Morgan has defended her title against multiple opponents. She was slated to face IYO SKY for the title at Saturday Night's Main Event after the Damage CTRL member became the number-one contender for the WWE Women's World Championship.

However, during Liv Morgan's entrance for her match against SKY at Saturday Night's Main Event, Michael Cole claimed that The Judgment Day star might be in the mix to become the wrestler of the year after her incredible run in 2024.

During the 2024 Busted Open Holiday Party, the panel, consisting of legendary wrestlers, including Mark Henry and Bully Ray crowned Liv Morgan as the female wrestler of the year. It will be interesting to see what WWE has planned for the superstar going forward.
