Michael Cole officially confirms WWE made history during Survivor Series: WarGames
WWE is hosting one of its biggest Premium Live Events, Survivor Series: WarGames, in Canada tonight. Michael Cole confirmed that the company made history during the show.
Survivor Series is the second longest-running PLE in WWE history behind WrestleMania. The show was first started in 1987. Since its inception, it has been known for its traditional Survivor Series match, which featured teams of five facing each other in an elimination-style tag team match.
However, in 2022, the show changed its format and replaced the traditional Survivor Series match with the WarGames match. Since then, there has been one WarGames match for the men and one for the women every year.
This year, Survivor Series took place at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. Like previous years, the show was headlined by both the men's and women's WarGames matches. Although this is now one of the longest-running PLEs in WWE history, the company just made history.
During the show, Michael Cole announced that this was the largest local gate for any WWE arena show in Canada, with a total attendance of 17,828.
It will be interesting to see who wins the men's WarGames match, which will take place in the main event.
