Michin gives herself a new nickname following huge win

WWE Superstar Michin has given herself a new nickname after a huge win on Tuesday night on the latest episode of NXT. She's now called The Princess of Extreme ahead of a big match at NXT Battleground in two weeks.

Michin recently made her way to NXT after performing on the main roster since her return to the company in 2022. The star is one of the most agile and entertaining women's wrestlers on the roster. Since moving to NXT, she has defeated Arianna Grace and Tatum Paxley.

In an interview with Sarah Schreiber following her victory over Tatum Paxley, Michin boasted about her experience heading into the Ladder Match to determine the inaugural NXT Women's North American Champion.

"Know a thing or two about? Baby, extreme is in my middle name. The last time I was in a ladder match, I busted my nose and still finished. How many of the other girls in this match can say the same thing? Can't think of not one," she said.

The superstar formerly known as Mia Yim was also not backing down from other contenders in the Ladder Match such as Jaida Parker. She even used WWE Hall of Famer Lita as an inspiration for her new nickname, saying:

"Intimidating? I haven't even seen [Jaida Parker] climb a step stool, so what is there to be intimidated about? You got Lita, the Queen of Extreme, and you got Michin, the Princess of Extreme."

The other participants in the Ladder Match at NXT Battleground are Fallon Henley, Kelani Jordan, Lash Leg,end and Sol Ruca. The first-ever NXT Women's North American Champion will be crowned on June 9 at UFC Apex in Enterprise, Nevada.

Did Michin leave WWE SmackDown for NXT?

Some members of the WWE Universe were baffled to see Michin wrestle on NXT despite being drafted to SmackDown recently. They are wondering if she's still on the main roster or has now become part of the developmental brand.

She remains a SmackDown Superstar, but will continue to appear on NXT. It's been widely reported that more and more main roster stars are expected to appear on NXT. Natalya and Shayna Baszler recently got involved in a feud between Lola Vice and Karmen Petrovic.

Ivar unsuccessfully challenged for the NXT North American Championship, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson have set their sights on the NXT Tag Team Title, and The Final Testament even teased the potential return of the Black and Gold era of NXT.
