Michin shares first comments following brutal loss on WWE SmackDown
Michin (Mia Yim) broke her silence on social media following a major loss on this week's edition of WWE SmackDown. The promotion is getting set for WWE Bash in Berlin tomorrow night.
Nia Jax defended the WWE Women's Championship against Michin in a Street Fight on this week's edition of the blue brand. Tiffany Stratton got involved in the match and bashed the former member of The O.C. in the face with the Money in the Bank briefcase.
The Buff Barbie teased a cash-in on Nia Jax but decided not to betray her friend on SmackDown. Bayley then returned and chased Stratton through the crowd. However, Jax emerged victorious after hitting Michin with The Annihilator.
Following the heartbreaking loss, the 35-year-old took to social media to send a message. She shared a photo of herself smiling and noted that she was thankful for the opportunity to compete in Berlin.
"First time in Berlin, thankful for the Opportunities đź’™ #SmackDown," she wrote.
Former WWE manager reacts to Michin and Nia Jax moment on SmackDown
Wrestling legend Dutch Mantell recently praised a backstage segment between Nia Jax and Michin on WWE SmackDown.
The rivalry between Mia Yim and Nia Jax has been going on for a while now on the blue brand. In June, the two stars had a confrontation backstage that resulted in Michin launching a drink in Jax's face.
Speaking on a recent edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk show, Mantell praised the segment and noted that it added a lot to the show. He added that the drink being thrown in Jax's face caught him off guard, and he wanted to see the rivalry continue.
"The backstage segment, it adds so much to that show. It was not long, they just make a point and they get out of it. Nia Jax, I didn’t expect the drink in the face. Weren’t conditioned at all. Punch or something [is fine] but a drink in the face, I can’t believe they did that. It makes me want to see more between them. So again, I think every segment in that worked. Every segment," he said.
Nia Jax won the Queen of the Ring tournament earlier this year and went on to defeat Bayley at SummerSlam to become the new WWE Women's Champion. It will be fascinating to see how long the 40-year-old can hold onto the title moving forward following her victory tonight on SmackDown.
