Mick Foley makes surprising comments about Vince McMahon allegations

WWE legend Mick Foley shared some surprising comments about the allegations against Vince McMahon. The 79-year-old resigned from the company earlier this year after allegations of sex trafficking by former WWE employee Janel Grant were made public earlier this year.

There will be a docuseries about Vince McMahon's scandal premiering on Netflix later this month. The docuseries is titled Mr. McMahon and will be released on the streaming platform on September 25. Speaking on a panel at Comic-Con Northern Ireland, Mick Foley shared his thoughts on the allegations against Vince McMahon. Foley surprisingly stated that he was holding off judgment on the former WWE CEO until the docuseries is released, and claimed that many others are not letting the scandal impact their memories of McMahon.

“I feel really bad that someone I care about got into something that seems pretty unsavory. I’m gonna hold off judgment until I see the [Netflix docuseries]. But I think one thing that’s fortunate is, whatever he did or did not do, I don’t think many of us are allowing that to mess with our memories. He was instrumental in creating some of those memories. So, I’m choosing to appreciate him until I learn more about what may have gone down," said Foley. [H/T: WrestleZone]

Former WWE star believes Vince McMahon cost Damian Priest a chance to appear in a Marvel movie

EC3 recently suggested that Vince McMahon could have cost Damian Priest his opportunity to appear in Marvel's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws show, EC3 noted that McMahon liked to control everything, and may have prevented The Archer of Infamy from appearing in the film. The veteran added that it would only have been beneficial to the company if Damian Priest appeared in the film.

"I feel like probably that was a Vince thing. They would have totally allowed that. I mean, a Marvel movie, a major franchise, a guy you're pushing in it - it's only a beneficial thing, right? So I think Vince McMahon just got too obsessed with holding on to his toys and his obsessive need for control." EC3 continued, "That's too bad because Damian, he's big, tall, he's dapper. He has an exotic voice. He would have a cool villain scene that gets thrown off the ledge or something." [From 2:00 onwards]

The promotion has seen a lot of success as of late without Vince McMahon in control. It will be fascinating to see what Triple H and the creative team have planned on the road to WWE Bad Blood next month.
