WWE News: Mick Foley reportedly taking time off from WWE
WWE RAW General Manager Mick Foley will be taking some time off WWE TV and will not appear on Monday Night RAW for the remainder of the month.
According to a recent report from Prowrestlingsheet.com, Mick Foley will be taking time off to do some volunteer work as Santa and will also be spending time with his family during the holiday season. WWE has assured fans that Foley’s leave is only for the holidays and he it’s not a resignation or suspension.
Foley is currently in the middle of a storyline involving Sami Zayn and Braun Strowman. There was no mention of Foley going on a leave this past Monday night on RAW. So it will be interesting to see how he will be written off WWE TV for the period of his absence.

It comes as a surprise for fans to see Foley request for some time off, given that his angle with Sami Zayn is currently peaking. However, Foley is a big time Christmas enthusiast which has now been well documented by the WWE Network special reality show Holy Foley.
HIs intention to take a leave from his duties as RAW general manager for a week and focus on spreading the Christmas cheer therefore seems justified. He was even nominated to be Santa’s ambassador earlier this year.
However, in the absence of Foley, there will be no authority figure on Monday Night RAW besides Stephanie McMahon and it would be interesting to see how events transpire on next week’s RAW after this Sunday’s Roadblock: End of the Line pay per view in Foley’s absence.
Foley is scheduled to appear next on Monday Night RAW on January 2nd.
