Moments after SmackDown loss, WWE Superstar makes a weird statement; denies being a loser

WWE has many formidable superstars who are constantly trying to make it to the top of the ladder. The July 19, 2024, episode of Friday Night SmacDown saw the clash of two such names who are almost on the brink of becoming main event talent. However, the defeated star made a weird statement and denied being a loser.

Carmelo Hayes registered a high in his WWE career by pinning Randy Orton in his Money in the Bank qualifier match. While he lost the ladder match on July 6, 2024, he faced another MITB participant, Andrade, this week.

A win against another veteran would have propelled Melo to greater heights, but he lost. Following this, he posted a tweet on X that confused the WWE Universe.

“Losers, lose. And I never been a FN loser. Despite not winning. #MeloMentality #RunItBack #Smackdown,” wrote Hayes.

Thus, despite the loss, the WWE Superstar thinks that he isn’t a loser if he harbors the mentality of a winner.

While several wrestlers make tweets promising a comeback after losses, Melo considers himself as ‘Him’ and refuses to humble down and admit his loss.

While Hayes is responding to his defeat with unwavering confidence, a red-branded superstar uses the 'fake it till you make it' approach with anger as his crutch.

A WWE Superstar is refusing to back down despite a major PLE loss

Bron Breakker has been wreaking havoc every week on Monday Night RAW. The superstar has been randomly attacking and injuring others and has become a menace for Adam Pearce.

Due to his destructive run, Sami Zayn chose to bury the former NXT Champ by giving him a shot at the Intercontinental Championship at Money in the Bank. At the PLE, the Canadian Superstar defeated Breakker.

However, like Carmelo Hayes, Bron refused to back down and attacked Zayn and Ilja Dragunov this week during a title match. Breakker didn't like that the champion acknowledged Dragunov and called him a deserving contender for the title despite almost losing to him at MITB.

Now, he stands a chance to get another go at the IC Title at SummerSlam alongside The Mad Dragon in a Triple Threat match. It would be interesting to see if Breakker wins it the second time or finally learns to control himself after losing at Cleveland.
