Multi-time champion won't return to WWE for a while; provides injury update
Injuries are common in professional wrestling, and WWE Superstars aren't immune to them either. Recently, Karl Anderson stated he wouldn't return to the promotion for a while and provided an update following his surgery.
Earlier this year, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows made their presence felt on the developmental brand and went after the NXT Tag Team Championship. Unfortunately, the former champs needed to hit the breaks from active competitiveness when Anderson picked up an injury.
The veteran is currently out of action due to a partially torn labrum and torn rotator cuff muscle, for which he recently underwent surgical procedures. Speaking on the TalkNShop podcast, the 44-year-old detailed his journey leading up to the surgery. Later, he provided an update and stated his expected timeline of being on the shelf was tentatively six to nine months.
"That's the prognosis, I flew to Birmingham, and I got surgery. We're not going to go too deep into it. It doesn't really matter. The prognosis is six to nine months out," Anderson said. [From 04:50 to 04:58]

Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows have held titles together in WWE
In 2016, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows were signed to WWE as a tag team. Later, they made a name for themselves in the Stamford-based promotion under Vince McMahon's tutelage.
The duo won the RAW Tag Team Championship from Cesaro and Sheamus. The reign ended at WrestleMania 33 when The Hardy Boyz returned and won the titles in a Fatal Four-Way Ladder Match.
The two spent a while in limbo and eventually reunited with AJ Styles to re-form The O.C. Later, they won the RAW Tag Team Championship for the second time and then dropped it to Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins in less than a month.
In 2022, the two returned to WWE under Triple H's creative leadership and reunited The O.C. Earlier this year, AJ Styles left the faction, and the two moved to the developmental brand.
