Multi-time World Champion to replace Seth Rollins and assist Roman Reigns' OG Bloodline at WarGames, says ex-WWE star
Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns have a brief history in WWE, and the two will most likely won't be on the same page for a while. Meanwhile, Matthew Rehwoldt believed The Visionary would be replaced by multi-time World Champion CM Punk, which could start their feud leading up to WrestleMania 41.
Earlier this year, Seth Rollins and CM Punk were rumored to clash at WrestleMania XL. However, Punk got injured before the event, and the showdown was scrapped. Regardless, the two have crossed paths, and Rollins still has his issues with Punk and Roman Reigns.
Speaking on the Rebooked Wrestling Podcast, Matthew Rehwoldt, fka WWE's Aiden English, pitched a mind-blowing scenario for the two stars. Rehwoldt stated Punk might replace Rollins as the fifth member of Roman Reigns' OG Bloodline, which would restart a feud between the two rivals leading up to WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
"He [CM Punk] joins and stays. Paul Heyman calls in the favor. Punk backs up the OG Bloodline and, in the process, does something pretty nasty to takeout Bronson, which irritates the living hell out of Seth Rollins, who's had a problem with CM Punk since the minute he showed up in WWE... CM Punk upstages Rollins, does what he refused to do, and steps in the Survivor Series match," Rehwoldt said. [From 30:23 to 31:12]
Seth Rollins faced Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL when CM Punk went on a hiatus from WWE
Last year, CM Punk's earth-shattering return to the Stamford-based promotion shocked the world at WWE Survivor Series. However, Seth Rollins was unhappy and seemed angry at The Second City Saint's return.
Later, the two were rumored to have a match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Unfortunately, it was scrapped as CM Punk got injured at Royal Rumble 2024, which led to his hiatus from the company.
Meanwhile, Seth Rollins decided to stand alongside Cody Rhodes against Roman Reigns and The Bloodline heading into The Showcase of the Immortals in Philadelphia.
On WrestleMania XL Night One, Rollins and Reigns stepped inside the ring in a tag team match. Sadly for Rollins and Rhodes, The Rock and Roman Reigns scored a win in the main event.
