Multi-time WWE World Champion explains his current relationship with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins
Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins have been WWE's cornerstones for well over a decade. Recently, multi-time World Champion CM Punk explained his current standing with the Original Tribal Chief and The Visionary following his return to the company.
CM Punk played a crucial role in The Shield's rise before his infamous walkout from WWE. Following his departure, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins became the faces of the Stamford-based promotion and major stars in the industry.
Speaking to Peter Rosenberg at ComplexCon, the multi-time World Champion explained his current standing with the two stars in the company. Without breaking kayfabe, Punk teased an eventual face-off between the two inside the ring for the viewers at home.
"If you look back at when The Shield, they came here and made a whole ton of waves in a short amount of time. And my relationship with all those guys was pretty good. I just had to get the hell out of here for my own sanity. But yeah, absence makes the heart grow fonder. I think a lot of the questions you have like, oh, what is Punk’s relationship with Roman? What does Punk feel about Seth? I think all that stuff is gonna play out on television because that’s what I do," Punk said. [H/T - WrestleZone]
CM Punk could replace Seth Rollins and assist Roman Reigns at WWE Survivor Series, says Aiden English
CM Punk and Seth Rollins dislike each other, and the audience knows it by now. However, that's not the case with Punk and Roman Reigns due to a certain Wiseman connection, as Paul Heyman has managed both in their respective careers.
Speaking on Rebooked Wrestling, Matthew Rehwoldt, aka WWE's Aiden English, pitched a scenario for WarGames in which CM Punk would step up for the OG Bloodline and Paul Heyman instead of Seth Rollins. Moreover, Roman Reigns has no issues with The Straight Edge Superstar.
"He [CM Punk] joins and stays. Paul Heyman calls in the favor. Punk backs up the OG Bloodline and, in the process, does something pretty nasty to takeout Bronson, which irritates the living hell out of Seth Rollins, who's had a problem with CM Punk since the minute he showed up in WWE," English said.
It'll be interesting to see which star ends up in the final spot for Roman Reigns' OG Bloodline. Bronson Reed joined The Bloodline this past Friday on SmackDown as the fifth member for the WarGames match. Survivor Series is set to take place on November 30 in Vancouver, Canada.
