MVP reacts to recent WWE release rumors with one-word message
WWE veteran MVP shared an interesting message on social media amid rumors that he was removed from the promotion's internal roster. The 50-year-old has not competed in a match since 2022 and is the manager of Omos.
There were reports this week that MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Tamina were removed from WWE's internal roster. Following the rumors, Montel Vontavious Porter shared an Instagram post with wrestling boots, seemingly hinting that he wants to get back in the ring.
A wrestling fan sent a message to MVP today and joked that the internet always knows more than him. He reacted with a one-word message, as seen in his post below.
"Always... 🤷🏽♂️," he wrote.
MVP's client, Omos, has not wrestled in a match since the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in April. Bobby Lashley and MVP were once a part of a popular faction known as The Hurt Business, but it was disbanded in 2022.
WWE Hall of Famer reacts to MVP claiming Triple H didn't want to reunite The Hurt Business
WWE legend Booker T has commented on MVP revealing that Triple H turned down the idea of reuniting The Hurt Business.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, the NXT commentator stated that he would have liked those issues to be handled behind the scenes. The veteran added that he was always a fan of The Hurt Business and thought MVP brought a lot to the group on WWE television.
"MVP's comments, he pretty much made his feelings known. And I'm sure people that need to know are aware about his feelings but I was always a huge fan of The Hurt Business. I've said that here many times how instrumental of a role that MVP played as far as, you know, really really almost being that legitimizer for the Hurt Business such as Sherri Martel was for us back in the day. Hopefully they can work that situation out. I just think stuff like that need to be handled behind closed doors." [36:17 - 37:07]
