MVP shares heartwarming update amid WWE release speculation

MVP has shared a heartfelt message on social media ahead of tonight's edition of WWE RAW. There have been rumors this week that the 50-year-old has been removed from the company's internal roster.

The veteran is the manager of Omos but neither star has been seen on WWE television in months. The Nigerian Giant has not competed in a match since April 2024. Despite speculation of his time in WWE coming to an end, MVP has remained in high spirits. The former United States Champion's contract with the promotion is reportedly set to expire next month.

He took to Instagram to share an image of his wrestling boots along with the song "Boogie Shoes" by KC and The Sunshine Band playing in the background. Montel Vontavious Porter has not competed in a match since 2022.

It was also reported that in addition to MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Tamina have also been removed from the WWE's internal roster. Lashley and MVP were once a part of The Hurt Business faction but the group was disbanded in 2022 despite their popularity.

MVP reveals he wanted former WWE champion to be in The Hurt Business

Wrestling veteran MVP recently shared that Ricochet was once considered a potential member of The Hurt Business.

Ricochet has not appeared on WWE television since he was brutally attacked by Bron Breakker on the June 10 episode of RAW. The former champion was taken away in an ambulance and has also been moved to the alumni section on the company's website.

MVP recently shared on X/Twitter that Cedric Alexander was selected for The Hurt Business over Ricochet. He noted that the decision was made because the former NXT North American Champion could get over on his own.

"True story. When we were forming The Hurt Business, I asked for BOTH Ricochet AND Cedric Alexander. We were told we could only have 1. We chose Cedric because we felt he needed our association more than Ricochet did. I always thought Ricky O would be a big star on his own," he wrote.

The Hurt Business faction is still a topic of conversation amongst wrestling fans to this day. Only time will tell if the popular group will get the chance to reunite sometime down the line.
