"My heart has been hurting" - WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix shares a heartbreaking post
WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix has been feeling the effects of Hurricane Helene, which has caused widespread destruction in numerous parts of North Carolina. The veteran resides in Asheville, North Carolina, a region that was severely affected by the violent storm.
Phoenix shared an update a few days ago, mentioning that the destruction caused by the hurricane in Asheville was still visible and numerous people needed assistance. The former Divas Champion recently disclosed how she was still hurting because of the destruction caused by the tropical cyclone.
In a recent post on Instagram, the Hall of Famer wrote that despite the setback, she was "slowly putting the pieces back together." Phoenix also shared a picture of herself.
"My heart has been hurting…But I am slowly putting the pieces back together," she wrote.
Beth Phoenix is not under contract with WWE. The Hall of Famer's previous deal expired a few months ago and she has seemingly not re-signed with the company.
What's next for Beth Phoenix after her WWE exit?
Beth Phoenix was one of the biggest names in WWE's women's division during her active career. However, she has been away from the industry for the past few months. The Glamazon's last match came at Elimination Chamber 2023, where she teamed up with Adam Copeland (fka Edge) to defeat Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley.
Following her departure from World Wrestling Entertainment, Beth Phoenix could ink a deal with AEW. The Hall of Famer's husband, Adam Copeland, is among the top names in the Tony Khan-led company. Phoenix might take up a backstage role in the organization while being a part-time in-ring competitor. Otherwise, she could sign a Legends deal with the global juggernaut.
With a couple of viable options available, it remains to be seen when the Hall of Famer decides to return to pro wrestling.
