Naomi suffers big loss to 17-year veteran after SmackDown goes off the air

Naomi is looking to get a first-time accomplishment in her career by becoming Ms. Money in the Bank 2024. After SmackDown went off the air, the former Champion lost to a 17-year veteran.

This week on SmackDown, Naomi's role was to be there for Bayley as she took on Piper Niven in a rematch from Clash at the Castle (without the Women's Championship on the line). The former Women's Champion and Bayley's biggest ally was at ringside and proved to be of help in neutralizing Chelsea Green, but was taken out by IYO SKY in all of the chaos.

After SmackDown went off the air, 17-year veteran IYO SKY and Naomi went head-to-head, and it was the Japanese star and former WWE Women's Champion who walked out with the win.

The Queen of Glow has been receiving a lot of praise since her WWE return in January 2024. Despite a short-lived stint with IMPACT Wrestling, her time with the company seems to have done wonders as she has come back better than ever.

She has also received a lot of television time. Although falling short of the Women's Title on multiple occasions, she continues to be in the mix as one of the more important female stars on SmackDown.

IYO SKY, meanwhile, is looking to replicate the same success from 2023 in her RAW run in 2024.
